  10. GETTING STARTED
  11. ---------------

  13. To install InContact!, follow these directions:
  14.  
  15. 1.  Copy the InContact! program files to your hard drive, or you
  16.     can install the program from your floppy drive.
  17.  
  18. 2.  Make sure that the file VBRUN100.DLL is either:
  19.       A. In the same place as the InContact program files, -or-
  20.       B. In your Windows SYSTEM directory, where it can be shared
  21.          with any other Visual Basic Application.
  22.     If you are installing from a floppy drive, VBRUN100 must be
  23.     in the Windows SYSTEM directory.
  24.  
  25. 3.  From Windows, run the program INSTALL.EXE (from Program 
  26.     Manager select the "Run..." option from the File menu)
  27.  
  28. 4.  Follow the instructions in the install program.  It will 
  29.     allow you to either install to a new directory (i.e. from a 
  30.     diskette) or will just configure in the current location 
  31.     (if you have already copied the files to your hard disk). 
  32.     It will even create a Program Manager group for you if you 
  33.     wish.

  35. After you complete the installation, InContact! will 
  36. automatically run.

  38. For Floppy Disk Users:
  39.  
  40. Floppy disk is not recommended for this program as speed and 
  41. performance will be diminished.  If you must use a floppy, you 
  42. can run InContact! from the disk provided but you still must run
  43. the installer to configure the program (without it copying any 
  44. files!).

  46. DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

  48. InContact! is a professionally-oriented contact manager for 
  49. Windows 3.x running in standard or enhanced modes with at least
  50. 1meg of memory (recommended).  It not designed for multi-user 
  51. network use.  Read the file NOTICE.TXT and the Shareware 
  52. information in the application.  There is also an Overview 
  53. section in the program for your review which can give you a 
  54. more detailed description.

  56. This README file contains information about getting started with
  57. the application.  There are other files which cover more specific 
  58. topics:
